The famous Sicilian resort of Taormina is a town on the eastern coast of Sicily. It is located on the site of an ancient Greek settlement Tavromenion.
In Taormina, in the interior of the well-preserved Greek amphitheater every year the festival of theater, music and dance, as well as an international literary prize awarded, which, in particular, was the great Russian poet Anna Akhmatova in 1963. |
